One of my all-time favourite wedding shoots---capturing the urban energy around Cape Town's city bowl, combined with the coolest of Cape Town beach-life --- Photographic Paradise!
Of course no shoot of the city would be complete without including a Cape Town institution like our famous 'Long street Cafe' which offers a glimpse of our Victorian past with its impressive art-deco style. Elsewhere around the city, one is spoilt for choice with vibrant colours, trendy African textures and city-slick restaurants dotting the map and clothing my camera with the perfect cosmopolitan vibe.
Moving away from the city, I then took my clients to a small secluded beach, wedged perfectly between Bakoven and Llundudno beaches on the Atlantic Seaboard (www.uncoverthecape.co.za/local.../beaches/bakoven/index.htm)
The perfect azure waters, with the 12 Apostles towering over to form a formidable backdrop are both reminders that if you are looking for paradise on your wedding shoot, whilst simultaneously craving a bit of Cape Town culture -- this is IT! Thanks to my Swedish clients Per and Charlotte for being the funkiest couple in town and to Sue Towse who specializes in co-ordinating these small Swedish weddings--always such a pleasure to work with you Sue (http://www.satravelco.com/)
Street life: This onlooker contemplates the merits of the papparazzi. Looks like the jury is still out! Fires on the mountain in the backround--a typical summers day in the mother city. |
