TIMES MEDIA SERVING UP A SPECIAL BLEND OF CELEBRITY & CULLINARY CONNECTEDNESS FOR DESIGN INDABA @ THE PLUSH OTTIMO CIBO RESTAURANT IN BISHOPS COURT, CAPE TOWN

What better place to rub shoulders with creative advertising giants like Marcello Serpa than the private restaurant owned and run by Nikki Booth. (http://www.topbilling.com/articles/Location-Entertaining-with-Nikki-Booth.html?articleID=1220)
Set against the backdrop of Table Mountain Ottimo Cibo is a idyllic venue for informal but upscale corporate gatherings - a true hedonistic delight.

 A touch of Tuscany?
Movers and shakers of Times Media--both gentlemen subscribers of  007's 'shaken not stirred' notion
Sundowners on a South African 'stoep' and corporates revealing in relaxation. Life is beautiful.

The poet Bauvard once wrote:  "The stamina of the hedonist. To laugh until the throat burns and smoke a cigar to soothe it, to black out but not pass out, to love without climax, to be immortal in the moment". Corporate charisma at it's best.

Guests from Times Media all enjoying a relaxing cocktail before the arrival of  special guest Marcello Serpa… all the way from Brasil
Welcome Brazilian-born Marcello Serpa. Creative director of AlmapBBDO, Havaianas was Serpa's first account  and for 17 years the mastermind of its award-winning advertising in Brazil and internationally. Closer to home Marcello made Volkswagen Kombis a local favorite too. Check out his 17 years of breathtaking ad campaigns here (http://thisisnotadvertising.wordpress.com/tag/brazil/)

One of my favorite portraits of Marcello --a beautifully, calm and reflective character, powerfully unpretentious and completely at ease with the world. What a pleasure to photograph this creative icon.

Marcello played a pivotal role in transforming Haviannas from being a commodity that was one step above going barefoot for Brazil’s poor to a chic brand bursting with colorful personality.
Put your hands together for Marcello who throughout his career has been noted as Brazil's most honored art director. A man who has raked in 149 Cannes Lions awards (www.canneslions.com/)

Times Media guests both enjoying and hanging onto every word spoken by this most awarded creative in the history of Sao Paulo. In 2008, Marcello also became the first non-Anglo-Saxon to receive the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to worldwide advertising.
AlmapBBDo has three nominations for Agency of the Year at Cannes and was the first-ever double winner of Agency of the Year in the Gunn Report--now that is worthy of applause. Their work is simply spellbounding. Go check it out (http://www.bbdo.com/#!/the-work)
Cheers to another successful, inspiring and enjoyable evening hosted by Times Media. Living their  'Live, Inspired' slogan to the fullest (www.timesmedia.co.za)
